Finish Carpentry

Finish carpentry is what we are best at. Tight miters, straight lines, and built-ins that look like they were always part of the house.

What we do

Finish Carpentry, done right.

Trim is the last thing that goes into a room and the first thing everyone sees. A gap at a miter, a casing that is a hair out of level, a built-in that does not quite meet the wall: you notice it every day. We take the time to get it right, because that is the whole point.

We do whole houses of trim, single rooms, and one-off pieces like a window seat or a bookcase wall. Small jobs are welcome.

  • Baseboard, casing and crown molding
  • Built-in shelves, benches and window seats
  • Interior doors hung and trimmed
  • Wainscoting, shiplap and wall paneling
  • Stair treads, railings and newel posts
  • Mantels and fireplace surrounds

Questions

Good to know.

Can you match the trim we already have?

Usually. Show us a piece or send a photo and we will match the profile, or tell you honestly how close we can get.

Do you take small trim jobs?

Yes. One room of baseboard or a single built-in is worth a call.

Can you build custom built-ins?

Yes. Shelves, benches, window seats, mudroom lockers and bookcase walls, built to fit your space and drawn first so you can see them.
