Decks
A deck in Bozeman has to carry snow, live through freeze and thaw, and host a lot of summer evenings. We build them solid from the footings up.
Decks, done right.
What you stand on is the easy part. What makes a deck last is underneath it: footings below the frost line, framing sized for the load, and flashing where it meets the house. We do that part as carefully as the boards you see.
We can draw your deck first so you can see the size, the stairs and the railing before we dig a single hole.
- New decks and covered decks
- Deck rebuilds and resurfacing
- Stairs, landings and railings
- Cedar, pressure-treated and composite boards
- Footings and framing done right
- Deck designs drawn before we build
Good to know.
What decking should we use?
It depends on how much upkeep you want. Cedar looks warm and needs a fresh stain every few years. Composite costs more up front and asks for less. We will walk you through both.
Can you fix our old deck instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. If the framing is sound we can replace boards, stairs and railings. If it is not, we will tell you straight.

Tell us about your decks project.
Call or send a note. We come look, listen, and give you a clear price before any work starts.
